The upper and lower receivers are the main load-bearing frame of the weapon. The upper receiver keeps the barrel and the bolt carrier group in alignment; the lower receiver carries the trigger group, the magazine well and the buttstock connection. Because the position of every part relative to the others is set by these two bodies, firing consistency depends directly on the machining precision of these parts.
We produce the AL 7075-T6 alloy by hot forging; this alloy delivers strength close to steel at a far lower weight. After forging, the grain structure of the material becomes oriented and fatigue strength increases — a clear advantage over casting or plain machining. Cerakote or anodised coating after machining adds corrosion resistance and surface hardness.
