The main body parts that form the frame of the weapon.
The upper receiver carries the barrel and the bolt group, while the lower receiver holds the trigger group and the magazine well. Both are machined from a single aluminium block; their mounting holes must align perfectly, so tolerances are among the tightest. Chassis plates and trigger guards that complete the receiver are produced alongside them.
